Dreamland Release Plan

The Update!
I added two new pages, listed as tabs at the top of the site.
Skill Portfolio is to hold a variety of the things I've built in relation to current- or future- projects.
Technical Portfolio is reserved for samples of my administrative skills, writing samples, and other nifty things I decide to post.
The Discussion
Dreamland 2d6 is a turn-based RPG, finding a home in both TTRPG settings and . It draws its roots from horror, conspiracy thriller, science fiction, corporate dystopia, Lovecraftian elements, aliens, supernatural monsters, and more. The core game loop consists of combat, exploration, and rest, with roleplay mechanics interwoven into each of these.
Dreamland 2d6 will release in a three-stage series. The current window of release is TBD, and should be updated between 6-12 months of release of each stage, ideally.
Stage 1: TTRPG Release
Digital Price: $0.00 USD (yes, free.)
Hardcopy Price: TBD
Number of Players: 1 Director, up to 4 cast
The TTRPG release of Dreamland will consist of two books.
- The Director's Handbook, dedicated to the direction and lead of storytelling within the mechanics.
- The Cast Handbook, for players to use as a reference book for the mechanics of the game.
I have also considered adding a calculator program to make running sessions that much easier. There will also be expansions planned, such as a Sportsball (working title) expansion. I'm not sure what all expansions I would release or write as of this post, but the system's modularity is high and leaves room to add more content once I have things foundational.
Currently, as of 05/12/2026, I am sitting at just over 20,000 words on the Cast Handbook.
Stage 2: Vertical Slice Release
Price: TBD
Platforms: Aiming for Steam, Epic, GoG currently.
Number of Players:
Stage 2 is focused on the release of a short horror game with multiple endings implementing the mechanics of the TTRPG in a turn-based, tactics-style gameplay. More details on this will be released down the line, but a sneak preview of some of the models to be used in the game can be found here.
Stage 3: Sandbox Release
Price: TBD
Platforms: Aiming for Steam, Epic, GoG currently.
Number of Players: 1-4
Stage 3 is focused on the release of a more open-world version of the same mechanics. The long term of the Sandbox release will be placed in Dreamland's post-apocalyptic timeline, allowing players to explore, loot, and fight their way through a violent, radioactive world-gone-wrong.
Some of the major features of the Sandbox release are:
- An immersive, lore-rich setting
- Reactivity through the world based on player decisions
- Modular, driveable vehicles, including mechs, submarine and aerial
- Lovecraftian secrets
- Buildable settlements
AFTERWORD
I've often been told I bite off more than I can chew, throughout my life. A wise man recently told me that is just because the appetite is large.
This is something I truly believe in. I hope that during the journey, you get a bit of that hunger, too.
Let's eat big, friends.
